This section contains all areas relating to The Northern Ireland Wrestling Association Talent Squad (NITS). The following is a brief introduction to our Selection Policy:
The age group is from 14 – 21 yrs, open to both males and females and only athletes capable of competing in international weights (Cadet and Junior)
- Transparent selection process
- NITS Selection Committee – NIWA Chairman, NI National Coach and NIWA Talent Development Coach
- The NITS Selection Committee will provide reports to the Board of the NIWA as and when required
- Squad meets on regular basis and minimum 18 times per year
- Current expectation is that there are unlikely to be more than 12 – 14 athletes of the required standard
