Membership

The Northern Ireland Wrestling Association operates a nominal fee membership base which is not only available to competing athletes but also parents and supporters who may wish to explore volunteering opportunities. Our membership supports a wide variety of functions including the organisation of regional tournaments, support for local clubs and invitations to all members to join us at our Annual General Meeting. We also have an information infrastructure including NIWA Policies for governance, current news, competitions and results on our website

Membership as an athlete:
Enables you to be eligible for selection to The Northern Ireland Talent Squad and as a Talent Squad member you may be eligible for funding (support for competition)
Enables you to be eligible for invitations to participate in inter-club training
Enables you to be eligible for selection to represent your club at domestic and national tournaments
Enables you to be eligible for selection to represent Northern Ireland at national and international tournaments

Membership as an associate:
Enables non athletes eligibility to pursue volunteering opportunities

Voluntary active roles in wrestling, some examples: Referee, Judge, Time-keeper, Pairing-master, Event organiser
Voluntary roles at Club level, some examples: Coaching, Administration, Designated Child Protection Officer, Fundraiser
