Established in 2008, The Northern Ireland Wrestling Association Limited (NIWA) gained company status limited by guarantee in 2010 and are Northern Ireland’s only Olympic Wrestling organisation. We are identified by Sport Northern Ireland as the key body responsible for Olympic Freestyle Wrestling in Northern Ireland
We work closely with Sport Northern Ireland and Governing Bodies of wrestling to ensure that every person has the opportunity to train, compete and excel in wrestling locally, nationally and internationally. We are also affiliated to the British Wrestling Association and the International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles (FILA)
